Overview

KN-2500Z Full Automatic Pour Point Tester conforms to ASTM D97 Standard Test Method for Pour Point of Petroleum Products and ASTM D2500 Standard Test Method for Cloud Point of Petroleum Products. The pour point of a petroleum specimen is an index of the lowest temperature of its utility for certain applications. It is suitable for testing the pour point of dark oil products, crude oil and other transparent or semitransparent petroleum products. 

The specimen is cooled at a specified rate and examined periodically. The temperature at which a cloud is first observed at the bottom of the test jar is recorded as the cloud point.
