Overview

KN-924 conforms to ASTM D924 Standard Test Method for Dissipation Factor (or Power Factor) and Relative Permittivity (Dielectric Constant) of Electrical Insulating Liquids and ASTM D1169 Standard Test Method for Specific Resistance (Resistivity) of Electrical Insulating Liquids This apparatus is used to measure the dielectric losses in an electrical insulating liquid when used in an alternating electric field and of the energy dissipated as heat. A low dissipation factor or power factor indicates low ac dielectric losses. Dissipation factor or power factor may be useful as a means of quality control, and as an indication of changes in quality resulting from contamination and deterioration in service or as a result of handling.

 

Features

  1. Oil cup adopts three electrode structure, electrode sapcing:2mm

  2. The apparatus adopts medium frequency induction heating, PID temperature control. It features homogeneous heating, fast speed and convenient to control.

  3. SF6 Three electrode type pneumatic capacitance as the standard capacitance, Its dielectric loss and capacitance will not be effected by the ambient temperature and humidity, so as to guarantee the accuracy

  4. Perfect protection function, when there is overvoltage, over current and  high voltage short circuit, the apparatus will cut off the current immediately and alert. If the temperature exceeds 120℃,relay releases and stops heating

  5. Convenient to set the parameters, temperature range:0~125℃,AC range:500~2200V,DC range:0~500V

  6. The apparatus adopts LCD screen, it features backlight and clear display

  7. Equipped with real time clock, test date and time can be recorded, displayed and printed as the test result

  8. Empty electrode cup calibration function. Measure the capacitance and dielectric loss of the empty electrode cup,so as to judge the cleaning and fitting status. Auto save the calibration data.
