The principle involves loading the grease sample, then stepwise increasing pressure at specified temperature intervals (every 30 seconds) to predetermined values relevant to the grease's flow pressure. This continues until either a continuous stream of grease emerges from the test nozzle or pressure gas escapes through the nozzle.
